Osaka Mochi Pounding Dotonbori River Cruise and Hozenji Tour

Most Dotonbori tours are a walk past the signs. This one starts with your hands on a mallet. You'll spend 75 minutes at the Oh Mochi workshop pounding steamed rice into fresh mochi the traditional way — then eat what you made — before heading out to explore the neon streets.
The sequence is deliberate. You go from a centuries-old craft, to the flashing billboards of Ebisubashi Bridge and a river cruise along the Dotonbori Canal, to the quiet stone paths of Hozenji Yokocho. It's three very different sides of Osaka in about three hours, with a takoyaki tasting along the way.
The timing matters too. Dotonbori gets packed as the night goes on. Because the workshop comes first, your guide leads you onto the streets as twilight turns to neon — better light for photos at the Glico sign, and an easier pace through the alleys before the late-night dining crowds peak.
