Beatrix Potter Morning Tour | Peter Rabbit's Lake District

Your morning takes you to Wray Castle, where a teenage Beatrix Potter spent a life-changing holiday in 1882 and first fell in love with the Lake District. You then visit Hill Top in Near Sawrey — the farm she bought with the proceeds of Peter Rabbit and where she lived and worked — followed by the charming village of Hawkshead, where Beatrix's husband worked as a lawyer, and the exquisite Tarn Hows, one of the most beautiful spots in the National Park, once owned by Potter herself.
Your guide is educated to Masters or PhD level and brings Beatrix Potter's story fully to life — not just the books, but the remarkable woman behind them: the scientist, the conservationist, the farmer, and the single largest donor of land to the National Trust in history. Groups never exceed 7 guests. Entrance to Hill Top is included in the price.
