Bologna Food Tour with Mortadella, Wine and Fresh Pasta

Two ways to eat Bologna like a local, both with a local food host in a small group.

SHORT TOUR (about 2 hours): a complete taste of Bologna in little time. Walk the narrow lanes of the medieval centre and its best-known spots: an Italian coffee at a local bar, Bologna's favourite mortadella sandwich in a historic deli, a glass of local wine in a centuries-old tavern and, to finish, two fresh pasta dishes in a small and much sought-after pasta workshop.

LONG TOUR (about 3.5 hours): Bologna off the tourist track, through less-visited corners that are just as beautiful. Coffee with a view of a hidden canal, a board of cured meats and cheese in a family-run deli, fresh bread from a historic bakery, wine in an old tavern where locals bring their own food, aged balsamic vinegar, fresh handmade pasta and artisan gelato.

No tourist menus, only real local places. The tastings add up to a full meal: come hungry!
