Helsinki Private Walking Tour to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress

Experience Suomenlinna through the eyes of a historian. Developed by Ralf Palmgren, MA in History and an authorised Suomenlinna guide with over 22 years of experience in cultural heritage, this private tour explores the history and geopolitics of the Baltic Sea. Discover how political power, maritime ambitions and imperial rivalries shaped Suomenlinna, from its Swedish origins through Russian rule to independent Finland. Your guide will tailor the historical themes, route and pace to your interests, allowing time for questions, photographs and discussion without rushing from one landmark to another.
