Nuremberg: 2-Hour Private Old Town Tour with Local Guide

For most people, Nuremberg is known from the Nazi era, as the city of the Nazi Party rallies. Today the Old Town looks medieval, but behind that look lies a history of almost 1,000 years, and much of what you see was rebuilt after World War II ended in 1945. On this private walk I tell you how the city came to be, what is still original from the Middle Ages, and how the Nazis rose to power in Nuremberg and shaped everyday life.

I'm Hermann and grew up in Nuremberg. I study history and English for a teaching degree and will start a PhD in history soon. So far I have led more than 150 tours in Nuremberg, for about 1,100 guests. As a historian, I connect today's buildings with the people who lived in them.
