Roro Jonggrang Ballet in City Center Official Tickets MURI Award

A Legend You Can Walk Through—Then Watch Come Alive

If you're visiting Prambanan Temple, you may encounter the mysterious Durga statue—believed to be Princess Roro Jonggrang, turned to stone by a curse. But what's the full story?

This powerful new cultural performance by the producers of the MURI-awarded Ramayana Ballet Purawisata brings that ancient legend to life with emotional depth and stunning theatricality. Through elegant Javanese dance, symbolic costumes, & an evocative musical score, Roro Jonggrang: Reincarnation of Love retells a tale of love, betrayal, & transformation—woven into the very soul of Prambanan.

Set in a semi open-air amphitheater just minutes from Malioboro, this experience invites you to enjoy:

- A moving live performance under the stars - Optional royal Javanese buffet dinner in a Joglo pavilion - A deeper connection to the myth behind Prambanan Temple

This isn’t just a show—it’s the living heart of Javanese culture, brought to life for you in Yogyakarta.
