La Fortuna Wildlife Discovery Tour with a Naturalist Guide

Spot what you might miss on your own. Join a naturalist guide for a daytime walk in search of birds, reptiles, insects and other wildlife, then discover the behaviours and ecological connections behind each encounter.

Your guide recognises animal calls and spots subtle movements and camouflage to help you locate wildlife. This tropical habitat supports extraordinary biodiversity: even experienced naturalists keep learning. Expect knowledgeable guidance, honest answers and room for curiosity.

Explore how restoring former farmland with native plants creates food and shelter for wildlife. Learn how pollination, seed dispersal and other relationships help a recovering ecosystem function. No feeders or wildlife attractants are used.

Pause to observe, ask questions and take photographs without disturbing the animals. Wildlife moves freely, and no particular species is guaranteed. The discoveries depend on what is active that day.
