Leave the busy camps of Erg Chebbi behind and head into the wild, silent Sahara on this private 3-day 4x4 expedition from Merzouga. With your own driver and Berber guide, you cross black-stone hamada, dry riverbeds and golden dunes that most visitors never see.

You sleep two nights in real wild camps, far from crowds and electricity: first near Bagaa, then among the high dunes of Ouzina. On the way, stop at Taouz to see ancient rock engravings and meet nomad families who still live with their camels in the desert.

Evenings are spent around the campfire with mint tea, a home-cooked Berber dinner and some of the darkest, starriest skies in Morocco. Climb the Ouzina dunes for sunset, wake up for sunrise and try sandboarding.
