Kigoma Town Tour

On the shores of Lake Tanganyika, the important town of Kigoma borders the DR Congo, Burundi, and Zambia. The town was originally among the earliest settlements before the colonial era because of its advantageous position. The ancient settlement of Kigoma, also known as Kigoma/Ujiji, is one of the earliest towns in East Africa, along with Lamu, Mombasa, Kilwa, Bagamoyo, and Zanzibar. The town was a major center for commerce and the slave trade.

Liemba, the German ship, one of the oldest ships remaining in existence. You will be driven to the Kigoma Railway Station, which was built in 1913 by Germany to finish the extensive central railway that is still in us
