Hitoyoshi Day Trip from Yatsushiro Port Shrine and Castle

This 6-hour tour from Yatsushiro Port heads inland to the historic town of Hitoyoshi. Visit Aoi Aso Shrine—one of Kyushu’s most important shrines—then stroll Kajiya-machi Street, known for its traditional townscape. Continue to the riverside Hitoyoshi Castle Ruins for history and views. If time allows, add a short stop at Shohinken Garden (Matsuhama-ken) back in Yatsushiro before returning to the port. Lunch is not included in this tour.
